Passed away suddenly at his home Wednesday morning, January
3, 1990, age 59 years. He was born April 21 1930 in Saginaw and had
spent his lifetime here. He married Annabelle Frank Feb. 21, 1953
in Saginaw. She survives him. He was owner of G&R Sales.
Besides his wife he leaves one son, Bruce Gerken and his wife Ann, St.
Charles; two daughters, Miss Janet Gerken, Midland; Miss Cathy Gerken,
Saginaw; four grandchildren, Betsy, Amanda, Pamela and Matthew Gerken.
Funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 1990 at the
Reitz-Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 Midland Rd. between Gratiot and State.
Rev. Daniel R. Bell will officiate with entombment in Chapel HIll Mausoleum,
Freeland. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 to 9:00
p.m. Thursday. In liew of flowers memorials may be made to the American
Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. |
