Passed away at her home on Monday, January 17, 2000. Age 68 years. Annabelle Hazel Marie Frank was born January 27, 1931 in Saginaw to Henry and Violet (Ware) Frank. She married Allen Gerken on February 21, 1953. He predeceased her on January 3, 1990. Mrs. Gerken was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Saginaw. Surviving are two daughters and one son, Bruce (Ann) Gerken of Kentucky; Mrs. Janet (Barry) Shaver of Hemlock; Cathy Gerken of Saginaw; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amanda, Pamela and Matthew; one brother, Paul (Sandy) Frank. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2000 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 2565 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Daniel Krause will officiate with entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Mausoleum, Freeland. Friends are welcome to call on the family at the The Reitz-Herzberg Funeral Home on Midland Rd. on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday one hour before the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be given to the American Heart Association of Michigan. |
