Gerken, Mrs. Arleen A. 1370 Lamont Street    Wife of Robert A. Gerken passed away 11:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 1973 at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital after a lengthy illness. Age 50 years. Arleen A. Metiva was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Saginaw and had lived here her entire life.  She was married to Mr. Gerken in Saginaw, Aug. 8, 1944. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Bridgeport and its Ladies Aid Society.    Surviving besides her husband are one daughter and six sons, Miss Jean Ann Gerken, at home; Donald, Thomas, Gary, David, William and Robert Gerken, all of Saginaw; one grandchild, Denise Gerken; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. William (Beatrice) Heftmann, Ann Arbor; Mrs. Katherine Freeman, Saginaw; Earl Metiva, Saginaw; Russell Metiva, Lakeview, Mich.    Funeral service will take place 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Reitz Funeral Home, 1026 E. Genesee Ave. Lawrence E. Witto will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may call at the chapel from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, and until time of services on Monday.  Those who so desire may make memorials to the Faith Lutheran Church, Bridgeport.
