Passed away Friday afternoon after a long illness at Saginaw
General Hospital. Age 65 years. He had been a resident of Saginaw
all his life. He was born on Dec. 20, 1905, and married Estelle D.
Wojtowicz on April 14, 1951. She survives him. Mrs. Gerken
was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and was employed at the General
Electric Supply Co. before retiring in 1959. Surviving besides his
wife are two sons, John and Robert F. Gerken, and one daughter, Ruth Gerken,
Bay City, one niece and one nephew. Funeral Service will take place
1:30 p.m. Monday at St. James Lutheran Church. Friends may call at
the Reitz Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and from
10 a.m. Monday until time of services. Burial will be in Oakwood
Mausoleum. |
