Meinecke, Mrs. Mabel L.

Passed away suddenly at 3 p.m. Friday at her residence.
Age 70 years. Mabel L. Gerken was born March 9, 1893 in Saginaw,
and had been a lifelong Saginaw County resident. She was married
to Charles J. Meinecke Sept. 27, 1914 here. He predeceased her Nov.
26, 1950. The deceased was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church,
(King and Portsmouth Roads) and its Ladies Aid Society. Surviving
are three sons and three daughters, Mrs. Gottlieb (Marie) Ott, Mrs. Fred
(Lorraine) Hagerl and Lester Meinecke, all of Bridgeport; Mrs. Roy (Evelyn)
Biermann, Gera; Henry and Charles Meinecke, both of Saginaw; 13 grandchildren;
also five sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Martha Mitchell, Montrose; Mrs.
Elmer Sawatzki, Mrs. Ernest Brenner and Mrs. Adam Hartner, all of Saginaw;
Mrs. Nolan Sixberry, Reese; Edward Buell, Birch Run; John and Frank Bull,
both of Bridgeport. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday
at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Rev. David E. Wetz will officiate
with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the
Reitz Funeral Home from 7 p.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Monday, and at the
church from noon Monday until time of service. Those, who so desire,
may give memorial contributions to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Organ
Fund. |
