Mrs. Gerken, wife of Fred C. Gerken of 6777 Baker Road in
Bridgeport Township, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Hospital
after an illness of several weeks. Nettie Morrow was born Feb. 1,
1885, in Bridgeport Township and had been a lifelong Saginaw County resident.
She was married July 15, 1916, to Mr. Gerken. She was a member of
the Ladies Aid Society of St. Matthew’s Church on King Road. Besides
her husband, she leaves two sons, William C. of Bridgeport and Robert E.
of Saginaw; one brother and one sister, William Morrow of Bridgeport and
Mrs. Jean Pierson of Saginaw, and four grandchildren. Funeral services
will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Reitz Funeral Home, the time to be
announced in Monday night’s paper. Friends may call at the Reitz
Chapel from Monday noon. |
