J. Verne Teeple of Roodhouse Dies
Was Advertising Man and War Veteran

   Roodhouse, July 1. -- J. Verne Teeple, advertising man, veteran of World war and prominent in American Legion activities, died at 12:15 p.m. today in the Veteran's hospital at Jefferson Barracks, MO., where he underwent an operation and where he had been a patient three weeks.

   Mr. Teeple was born Nov. 7, 1888, in Roodhouse and spent his entire life here with exception of time spent in the army.  He was a member of the American Expeditionary Force in France.

   He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Scott, of Roodhouse.

   Services will be held Thursday at the Reeve funeral home here.  Rev. R. E. Best of the Baptist church will officiate and interment will be in White Hall cemetery.
