A well known resident of this city, Mrs. Jennie Bell Vipond passed away Thursday afternoon at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Ward Sudden, 9 Peachdale Ave, after an illness of about three weeks.  Deceased was born in Glanford township 76 years ago and had resided at Ancaster before coming to this city where she had resided for the past twenty years.  The late Mrs. Vipond was a member of the Memorial United Church and the Church of Christ.  Her husband, Charles Vipond, predeceased her a number of years ago.  To mourn her passing are one daughter and one son; Mrs. Ward Sudden of this city and Archie Vipond of Ancaster.  Seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter also survive.  A service of prayer will be held Sunday evening at 9 o'clock at the funeral home of Winter & Winter, 89 Ontario St. at Salina.   The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:30 o'clock at the White Brick Church, Ancaster and interment will take place in the church cemetery.
