Mrs. Lena Teeple, 78, died Sunday morning, November 9, while visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. T. Shaw, in Chicago. Mrs. Teeple's death followed a stroke. Mrs. Teeple was born in Dorr, Mich., May 9, 1881, the daughter of Gilford S. and Emma Williams Van Sickle. She was a member of the First Baptist church in Roodhouse, and a member of the Amoma Class. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Shaw, and Mrs. Harold Grier, Silver Springs, MD.; and a son, Glenn, of St. Louis. Her husband, William and a son, Kenneth, preceded her in death. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wolfe Memorial Home with Rev. H. L. Janvrin, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Mrs. Janvrin was the organist. Casket bearers were Wm. J. Locher, A.E. Hanaford, M.D. Hanaford, Floyd Davis, Wm. S. Day, and Homer Rimbey. The Amoma Class attended the services in a body. Bruial was in Fernwood cemetery. |
