Lester Teeple
Lester Teeple died yesterday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at his farm home, west of Elgin, where he
had resided for the last 50 years. He was born in Woodstock, Ontario,
Canada, February 12, 1851. When four years old, his parents brought him to
Woodstock, Illinois. In 1874 he became a member of a lumber firm at Marengo,
where he remained six years, later purchasing a lumber yard at Huntley. He
retained his interest in the Huntley firm many years after he had moved to
the farm homestea. Mr. Teeple was married to Miss Ada Mason in 1875 and to
them were born six children, three of whom preceded him in death. His wife
died in 1913. Surviving are two sons, David P. of Albert Lea, Minn, and Hugh
M. of Elgin, a daughter, Constance W. of Elgin; three grand-children, Gordon,
Harold and Betty. Mrs. Ruth Thompson and Mrs. Lydia York of Marengo are
sisters. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock
from Norris chapel, the Rev. John Vonckx officiating. Burial will be in West
Dundee cemetery.
